What capacities can you host for events and private hire?

As a guide, we comfortably host intimate suppers from 4 guests, semi-private areas for 12–24 guests, and larger events of up to approximately 50 guests subject to layout and format. For full or partial venue hire, our team will recommend the best configuration based on your brief.

Can you accommodate custom dietary needs?

Yes. Our modern Australian menus are designed to flex around dietary needs with prior notice. We can cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other requirements, while still delivering a cohesive shared-table experience. Please include dietary details when submitting your Private Social Booking enquiry.

Is the Card Salon an online gambling space?

No. The Card Salon is strictly a physical, land-based room within Pocket Pair Supper dedicated to in-person, social card games and tournaments. There is no online gambling, no remote play and no digital wagering of any kind – the focus is on etiquette, strategy and shared experience.

What is expected Card Salon etiquette?

We ask guests to observe respectful table conduct, follow host instructions and maintain a relaxed, conversational tone. Mobile phones should remain on silent and away from the felt, and any photography must be discreet and agreed upon by the table. Stakes, formats and house rules are clearly outlined before play begins.

Are there bar service limitations for private events?

We work with you to determine the most appropriate service structure – from curated welcome cocktails and house beverage packages through to pre-agreed consumption bars. Responsible service of alcohol is strictly observed and our team may recommend adjustments based on event style and duration.

Do you offer AV capabilities for speeches or presentations?

Yes. We can provide discrete microphone support for speeches, background audio integration and small-format display options for presentations or launch content. For more complex AV needs, we’ll coordinate with your external suppliers to ensure everything integrates seamlessly into the room.

How far in advance should we book?

For weekend social suppers and smaller celebrations, we recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance. For corporate events, masterclasses or Card Salon tournaments, 4–8 weeks allows us to secure your preferred date, talent and format. Shorter lead times may be possible subject to availability.
